TRAINING EVENTS
Core Skills for Children’s Work
This is a training course to develop people’s ministry among children. It is designed for volunteers who work with children in a Christian context. There are 7 stand-alone modules:
I aim to offer each module in each area of Synod over the next couple of years. To download a booking form for these Core Skills sessions, click here. I am now beginning to look for venues to run Core Skills for Children’s Work modules in each of the following areas within Southern Synod in 2009: South-east London, South-west London, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, West Kent, East Kent. Core Skills - Pastoral Awareness

Facing the Unthinkable—Child abuse and the Church This seminar is run by the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service. It deals with the following issues:

TOOLBOX Going Deeper - Evangelism among Children What? A change to explore in more depth one of the topics of the last Toolbox training day in Kent. The topic for this session is Evangelism Among Children. When? Saturday 25th October, 9:30 - 12:30 Where? St Nicholas Church, Boley Hill, Rochester Who? (The first 20 people booked in will receive a free copy of a Grove booklet written by Nick White and entitled "Home Visiting - opening doors for children's evangelism") What? Making the best of small groups in youth & children's work and gearing up for growth. When? I am delivering this session as part of bigger training days organised by Sussex Area Coordination Team on Saturday 15th November in Brighton and by SE London Area Coordination Team on Saturday 29th November.
