- To assist the Synod’s churches both to see their life and work in the context of the world church and its mission and to pray for the world church
- To maintain and develop partnerships with certain churches outside the UK (for the time being, the Rayalaseema Diocese of the Church of South India, the Reformed Church of Sub Carpathian Ukraine and the EPC and PCG in Ghana)
- To energise the Synod’s participation in the Council for World Mission
- To embrace the partnership between Church and Society, Commitment for Life and World Church, as advocated by Assembly Committees
