THE FAITH COMMUNITIES CAPACITY BUILDING FUND
There will definitely be a second round of this fund. Final decisions on the criteria and dates have been delayed because of changes in government departments and Ministerial responsibilities. The Community Development Foundation that is administering the Fund expects to make an announcement in August, so keep an eye on the website www.cdf.org.uk

RESOURCES FOR FAITH BASED REGENERATION The West Midlands Faiths Forum has just produced a booklet and a great CD of resources and web links. It is so new and extensive that we have not explored the whole of it yet, but are looking forward to being able to use it in our work. It is sure to be a great timesaver to anyone doing regeneration in connection with faith.
To find out how to get a copy go to www.wmfaithsforum.org.uk

FAITHFULLY VOLUNTEERING
This excellent step-by-step guide for faith communities and faith inspired projects has been produced by Church and Society in the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool. Much of it is appropriate for any faith group that works with volunteers. It can be downloaded free from www.changeupmerseyside.org.uk/docs/faithvolunteering.doc

GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE SPENDING REVIEW
The Government is in the middle of a comprehensive review of its spending across all departments. This includes a consultation with the Third Sector, which includes faith groups. The consultation phase runs to the end of September, so there is still a chance to have your say. These comprehensive spending reviews do not happen often, and this one will have a significant impact on Government spending from 2008 onwards. You can feed in your views on www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/pbr_csr/pbr_csr07_index.cfm
