Anchor Foundation – www.theanchorfoundation.org.uk The Anchor Foundation supports Christian charities concerned with social inclusion, particularly those involved in ministries or healing and the arts.

Charles Hayward Foundation – www.charleshaywardfoundation.org.uk This Foundation makes grants of up to £20,000 to charities that are working with young people at risk, those with physical and learning disabilities, young offenders, the elderly and improving the local environment.

The Lankellychase Foundation – www.lankellychase.org.uk - The Chase Charity and the Lankelly Foundation were established through the generosity of two separate entrepreneurs. The Chase Charity was founded in 1962 and the Lankelly Foundation six years later. After many years of working together, the two Trusts have now resolved that they should take the next natural step and amalgamate to form the LankellyChase Foundation.

Lloyds TSB Foundation – www.lloydstsbfoundation.org.uk Provides grants to organisations that are working to improve the lives of people in local communities, especially those who are disadvantaged or disabled.

Rayne Foundation – www.raynefoundation.org.uk The Rayne Foundation supports organisations that are helping the most vulnerable or disadvantaged people in society, especially children, young people and the elderly.

Volunteering England – www.volunteeringengland.org.uk They distribute small grants funded by the Home Office, in order to enable and encourage more people to carry out projects that address the needs of their communities. They are particularly interested in funding charities that are organising projects or activities that get people volunteering in their communities.

Local Network for Children and Young People – Call: 08451 130161 Provides grants to small, local community groups in England who support vulnerable children and young people. The Fund aims to counter child poverty and youth disadvantage by providing opportunities for children and young people to achieve their potential.

Big Lottery Fund – www.biglotteryfund.org.uk The Big Lottery Fund is due to announce a new range of grants and awards in May 2005, which will distribute the lottery money allocated to charitable causes.

Budget Yourselves – www.funderfinder.org.uk/budgetyou.php This is a software program that helps voluntary organisations and community groups write an effective budget. It’s run on Windows 95 or above and is a free download.

Henry Smith Charity - www.henrysmithcharity.org.uk The Henry Smith Charity was founded in 1628 with the objects of relieving and where possible releasing people from need and suffering. These objects continue in the grant making policy today. The Henry Smith Charity makes grants totalling over £20 million per annum for a wide range of purposes across the UK, funded from investments.

The Tudor Trust - www.tudortrust.org.uk The Tudor Trust is a charitable trust which supports people and organisations working to achieve lasting change in their communities. Their role is to enable their visions, trusting the groups they fund to do the work that is needed.

The Garfield Weston Foundation - www.garfieldweston.org Founded in 1958 the Garfield Weston Foundation is a UK based, general grant-giving charity endowed by the late W Garfield Weston and members of his family. In the year to 5 April 2005, the Foundation supported 1,862 applications with grants totalling over £38.7 million.

Jerusalem Trust - Email: info@jerusalemproductions.org.uk The Trust's aims include the advancement of the Christian religion, education and learning. No grants are given direct to individuals.

Ama Royalton-Kisch Trust - www.kisch.org.uk The trust is dedicated to supporting interfaith educational work with children and young people up to the age of 25. Grants are usually no more than £1,000 with fast tracking for grants of under £500. Decision meetings are held in March, July and November.

Esmee Fairbain Foundation - www.esmeefairbairn.org.uk is one of the largest independent grant making foundations in the UK. They make grants to organisations which aim to improve the quality of life for people and communities in the UK, both now and in the future. They consider work which others may find hard to fund, perhaps because it breaks new ground, appears too risky, requires core funding, or needs a more unusual form of financial help such as a loan. They also take initiatives where new thinking is required or where they believe there are important unexplored opportunities.
