A. Terms of Reference

1. To support ecumenical work and development in the Synod.
2. To learn from the churches’ experience of ecumenical matters and opportunities.
3. To offer guidance to churches/joint pastorates/clusters exploring ecumenical initiatives (including constitutions and sharing agreements).
4. To monitor the life and mission of established LEPs, covenanted areas and Churches’ Together groups throughout the Synod and to ensure their review.   
5. To encourage and support our URC ministers/local leaders in ecumenical locations.
6. To give mutual support in our DEO/SEO work with ecumenical officers of other denominations, County Ecumenical Officers and church leaders.
7. To maintain links with the URC Secretary for Ecumenical relations, Churches Together in England, the Methodist/URC Liaison Committee and other national ecumenical bodies.
