A. Terms of Reference
- To support ecumenical work and development in the Synod.
- To learn from the churches’ experience of ecumenical matters and opportunities.
- To offer guidance to churches/joint pastorates/clusters exploring ecumenical initiatives (including constitutions and sharing agreements).
- To monitor the life and mission of established LEPs, covenanted areas and Churches’ Together groups throughout the Synod and to ensure their review.
- To encourage and support our URC ministers/local leaders in ecumenical locations.
- To give mutual support in our DEO/SEO work with ecumenical officers of other denominations, County Ecumenical Officers and church leaders.
- To maintain links with the URC Secretary for Ecumenical relations, Churches Together in England, the Methodist/URC Liaison Committee and other national ecumenical bodies.
