MA/PG Diploma in Consultancy for Mission and Ministry
at York St John University

Church life contains many jobs that involve working alongside others to bring about change.  Sometimes the word ‘consultancy’ is used but more often than not it isn’t.  Still, the challenge remains to find a way of working that will help people engage with change positively.  This course is designed to focus on your work and context so you can refine the way you work and develop your own theologically-based model of consultancy.  Study of mission, organizations and consultancy is integrated in a framework of practical theology.

The course is over 2 years, part-time and part distance learning, using workbooks and the support of the staff team at three 4 day residentials each year when students participate in co-consultancies.

Previous and current students include those who:
  • Work with others formulating and implementing strategies
  • Have oversight of others including work consultancy
  • Help and support church and community mission and development (including projects)
